About the University:

IILM was established in 1993, under the aegis of the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust. With more than 28+ years of experience in training future entrepreneurs and managers, it has emerged as one of the distinguished Universities in the Delhi NCR area.

The University has been set up under the Uttar Pradesh Private University (Amendment) Act 2022 with a vision to be Global Inclusive and Responsible and the focus will be on Computer Science and Engineering, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It is located in 16-18 knowledge park II Greater Noida, with a built area of over 26 acres known for its state-of-the-art facilities. Apart from Greater Noida, we also have safe and secure campuses in New Delhi and Gurugram.

About the School of Law

The IILM School of Law is offering BA.LLB. (Five years integrated Programme), BBA LLB, 3 Year LLB, One Year LL.M. in multiple disciplines and Ph.D. The IILM School of Law envisions the niceties of the province of law and produce skilfully excellent law functionaries for better delivery from justice system, legislative bodies and executive agencies equally both from private and public sphere, to the utmost satisfaction of the people of our country and beyond. Participation and Eligibility:

Students pursuing either a 3-year or a 5-year LL.B. degree from any Law School/College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to participate. Team members must be bonafide students of the institution they are representing.

Teams participating in the Competition must be duly authorized by the moot court society/ Faculty-in-charge/ Dean of their respective Institute to participate. (Registration Form is attached with the pdf)

Once registered (after Final Registrations), a Team will not be permitted to vary their composition in any manner.

No University/institution can send more than two teams for the Competition

Language: 

The official language for the Moot Court Competition is English

Dress Code:

For Boys- Black Pants, White Shirt with Black Blazer.

For Girls- Black Pants, White Shirt with Black Blazer or White Churidar Suits with Black Blazer or White Sari and Black Blazer.

Team Composition:

The participating team shall comprise a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of three (3) members. In a team of two (2) members, both the members shall be designated as ‘Speakers’ and one of the two Speakers shall be considered as ‘Researcher’ (which is to be notified at the time of Final Registration). In a team of three (3) members, two members shall be designated as ‘Speakers’ and the third member of the team shall be designated as a ‘Researcher’.

Each team will have a team code. Teams shall not disclose their identity or that of their institution or city etc. Such disclosures will invite penalties including disqualification. The decision in this regard shall be at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to bar any team from participating in the Competition.

Competition Structure: 

  • The Competition shall be held in physical Mode and shall consist of Preliminary Rounds, Quarter-final Rounds, Semi-Final Rounds and Final Round. The top 8 teams from the preliminary rounds shall qualify to participate in the Quarter Finals. Winners of the Quarter- Finals will proceed to Semi- Finals. Winners in the Semi-finals will qualify for the Final Round.
  • Teams shall argue cases against each other. For the said purpose, fixture of teams will be decided by draw of lots prior to each round of the competition.
  • There shall also be a Researcher Test on 17/04/2025.

Registration Fees: 

Rs 4,500 (For Students of Delhi/NCR and outside Delhi/NCR Without Accommodation) and

Rs 6,500 (Only for Students outside Delhi/NCR With Accommodation in Hostel)

For Registration, Students are required to fill the Google Form or Scan the QR Code and Pay the registration fee

Students have to also MANDATORILY fill the Physical Registration Form. Get it signed and sealed from the University. And then attach in the Google Form

Structure of the Competition

The Competition shall be held in OFFLINE MODE only

A.    Researcher’s Test (17/04/2025)

B.    Preliminary Round (18/04/2025)

C.    Quarter-Final Round (18/04/2025)

D.    Semi-Final Round (19/04/2025)

E.     Final Round (19/04/2025)

·       The oral rounds shall be judged on the following criteria:

Awards

The winners shall be awarded Cash prizes, Certificates, Trophies, and other perks which may be announced at the later stage of the Competition. There shall be awards under the following categories:

1. Winning Team: Rs 71000/-

2. Runner Up Team: Rs 36000/-

3. Best Speaker/Mooter: Rs 5000/-

4. Best Researcher: Rs 5000/-

5. Best Memorial: Rs 5000/-

Accommodation and Food

  • The University will be providing accommodation in the University Hostel (In Capus and Out Campus) for participants during the moot court competition on first come first serve basis. Moreover, there are several hotels located in close proximity to the university campus, offering various lodging options to suit your preferences and budget. For assistance or recommendations regarding nearby accommodations, feel free to contact the organizing committee.
  • Food shall be provided to all the teams for the aforementioned duration of the competition.

Clarifications Regarding the Rules and Registration for the Competition

  • Participants can seek clarifications regarding the Moot Proposition by sending in their queries to iilmmcs@gmail.com  on or before 10th March. 2025, 11:59 PM IST.
  • A list of clarifications shall be released and sent to all participants on 15th March 2025.
