About J&K Subordinate Judiciary

At present, there are 174 Subordinate Courts consisting of 45 Courts of District Judges, 50 Sub-Judges’ Courts, and 79 Courts of Munsiffs.

About the Opportunity

Applications through online mode, are invited from the applicants who are domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or are residents of the Union Territory of Ladakh and possess the prescribed Academic/Professional qualification and age, for filling up posts in Subordinate Judiciary in terms of Jammu & Kashmir Civil Service (Judicial) Recruitment Rules, 1967, as amended from time to time, and J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a University established, or
  • A Barrister of England or Northern Ireland or a member of the faculty of Advocates in Scotland or any other equivalent law degree recognized by the Government of India.

Pay Level: (27700- 770-33090-920- 40450-1080-44770)
