The High Court of Bombay (Appellate Side) has announced a special recruitment drive to fill temporary additional posts of District Judge and Senior Civil Judge by appointing retired judicial officers. This initiative aims to strengthen the judiciary by utilizing the expertise of experienced professionals for a limited tenure in key district locations.
📌 Position Details:
1. District Judges (Temporary Additional Posts)
- Number of Posts: 2
- Eligibility: Retired Judicial Officers in the cadre of District Judge
- Posting Locations:
- Nashik
- Nagpur
2. Senior Civil Judges (Temporary Additional Posts)
- Number of Posts: 2
- Eligibility: Retired Officers from the cadre of Ad-hoc District Judge or Senior Civil Judge
- Posting Locations:
- Raigad-Alibag (Mangaon)
- Satara (Karad)
🎓 Eligibility Criteria:
- Judicial Officers who retired between 31.07.2022 and 30.06.2025
- Applicants must not be currently engaged in any post-retirement assignment
- Officers who opted for voluntary retirement, were compulsorily retired, or dismissed are not eligible
📝 Application Process:
Interested eligible candidates must submit:
- A duly filled prescribed proforma (Annexure Y)
- A medical fitness certificate from a Civil Hospital
