Greetings from IDIA Kerala!
Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to Legal Education (IDIA) is a non-profit organisation working in India which aims to empower underprivileged children by giving them access to quality legal education. It is a pan-Indian, student-run movement to train underprivileged students and help them transform into leading lawyers and community advocates.
We conduct sensitisations across India to spread awareness among underprivileged children about opportunities in pursuing law as a career, select promising students and provide training for law entrance examinations, including the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), provide financial aid and mentorship to underprivileged children once they secure admission to a leading law school.
About NUALS Kochi
The Kerala Chapter of IDIA is situated at the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi. NUALS is a uni-disciplinary university in Kochi, India for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate legal education. It is the only National Law University in the state of Kerala. Why this LLM Mentorship Programme?
Often, students lose out on their opportunity to pursue an LL.M. from several top foreign universities because of not knowing how to draft their CVs or writing their SOPs and LORs. The LL.M. mentorship program by IDIA Kerala aims to resolve this problem by providing students who are wishing to pursue an LL.M. in foreign universities, guidance with their applications. Each student will be assigned a mentor who will help and guide them with their applications and other associated procedures. The mentor will either be a student or alumni of the institution that you’ll be applying to. All mentors are volunteering with IDIA on a pro bono basis.

- Information and personal experiences from mentors about different universities abroad
- Evaluation of curriculum vitae, statement of purpose, letter of recommendation and all other documents/ essays necessary for application
- Personalized feedback
Our mentors include people from New York University, University of Cambridge, Queen Mary University of London, National University of Singapore, Sciences Po and MIDS Geneva.
