The Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution (CADR) of DY Patil School of Law, Navi Mumbai, in association with LexisNexis, District Legal Service Authority, YOUNG MCIA (Mumbai Centre For International Arbitration), and APCAM (Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration & Mediation), Knowledge Thrust, is pleased to announce the  International Conference on Contemporary Developments in Arbitration,2023

This annual event will bring together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to discuss pertinent topics in the field of arbitration, such as:

  • Celebrating Women in Arbitration
  • Maritime Arbitration
  • Best Practices & Techniques for Conducting Arbitration

The conference will feature keynote addresses by leading experts in the field, as well as panel discussions and workshops. It will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about the latest developments in arbitration, network with other professionals, and share ideas. The conference will be held on August 10-11, 2023, at the DY Patil University campus in Navi Mumbai. Registration is now open.

The CADR is committed to promoting the use of ADR as a fair, efficient, and cost-effective way to resolve disputes.

Timeline

  • Last date to register: 31 July 2023
  • Last date to submit an abstract: 31 July 2023
  • Communication of acceptance of abstract: 1st August 2023
  • Date of paper presentation: 10th & 11th August 2023
  • Date for submitting a full paper: On the date of the Conference

Acceptance of abstracts: Only high-quality abstracts (up to 300 words) will be accepted for presentation. Each presentation will be of 10 minutes. The presentation must include topic, research questions, methods, utility and contribution of research, and tentative findings or suggestions.

Registration for participation only (including meals): Rs.700

Registration for paper presentation (India): Rs. 1, 000

 (Limited merit-based scholarships are available.)

A payment link for Paper Presentation will be sent after the selection of abstracts. The top selected papers shall be published in an edited book as chapters. Note: All participants will get a certificate.

All paper presenters will get a certificate of paper presentation. The best presenter will get a certificate for the best paper presentation. The full papers when submitted, if found suitable will be published.
