About the Role

Infosys Limited is seeking applications for the position of Principal Legal Counsel in its Office of Integrity and Compliance, Legal Department, located in Bangalore. This is a leadership opportunity for a seasoned law professional to join a globally recognized organization and drive excellence in corporate compliance, ethics, and regulatory adherence1.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Infosys Whistleblower Program: Own, implement, and continuously improve a global and regional compliance framework founded on seven pillars of compliance excellence.
  • Handle Global Investigations: Manage a wide range of investigations, negotiate, and execute remediation plans.
  • Drive Compliance Objectives: Contribute to the Compliance & Integrity Plan, propose system improvements, resolve compliance issues, and complete operational action plans.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay updated with key regulatory regimes—such as Whistleblower regulations, Anti Bribery/Corruption, Anti Trust, and Confidentiality requirements—and ensure related controls and processes are robust.
  • Collaboration & System Enhancement: Work closely with HR on whistleblower systems and feedback mechanisms, pushing for ongoing improvements.
  • Training & Communication: Plan and conduct effective trainings and communication activities to embed compliance best practices within the company culture.
  • Policy Interpretation: Analyze and interpret new laws and regulations; proactively adapt policy, training, and communication strategies.
  • Complaint & Investigation Management: Lead the full lifecycle of complaints, investigations, and associated remediation efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • 12–18 years’ experience in legal and compliance roles, with proven responsibility in corporate compliance programs and/or advisory.
  • Deep knowledge of corporate compliance essentials, including hands-on experience in policy implementation, investigations, and remediations.
  • Familiarity with compliance analytics and automation for risk evaluation is advantageous but not mandatory1.

  • Experience conducting compliance training and building cultural assurance.
