Remuneration

Eligibility
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Law, Engineering, Sciences, or Management; preference for IP specialization.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in patent searching, drafting, or prosecution.
- Desirable:
- Strong grasp of Indian and international IP laws (patents, copyrights, designs).
- Proficiency in legal drafting and communication with patent offices.

- Indian Patent Agent registration is an added advantage.

Key responsibilities
- End‑to‑end IP management for institute research:
- Prior art and freedom‑to‑operate searches; patentability assessments.
- Drafting and filing of patent specifications (provisional/complete), forms, and responses; prosecution before the Indian Patent Office and coordination for foreign filings.
- Portfolio strategy and compliance:
- Build and maintain the institute’s IP portfolio; monitor deadlines (FERs, annuities), and ensure compliance with statutory timelines.
- Stakeholder enablement:
- Work with faculty, research scholars, and project teams to capture disclosures; run IP awareness workshops; assist in invention harvesting and disclosure documentation.
- Contracts and commercialization support:
- Support IP clauses in MoUs/NDAs/collaboration agreements; coordinate with incubators/industry partners on licensing pathways and revenue sharing in line with institutional policies.
