RECRUITMENT NOTICE
Engagement of Legal Consultants on Contractual Basis
The Law Commission of India invites applications from eligible and qualified candidates for engagement as Legal Consultants on a contractual basis to assist in legal research and drafting work.
1. Name of the Post:
Legal Consultant
2. Number of Vacancies:
12 (Twelve)
3. Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for applicants shall not exceed 32 years as on the closing date of application.
4. Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university or institution.
- Must possess strong legal research capabilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Adequate computer knowledge, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, and document preparation is required.
5. Mode of Engagement:
- The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis for a period as decided by the Law Commission of India.
- The engagement does not confer any right for future regular employment.
6. Application Procedure:
- Interested candidates may download the prescribed application format from the official website.
- The duly filled-in application form, along with all supporting documents, must be submitted via email to lci-dla@nic.in on or before 18.06.2025.
- Applications received after the closing date or incomplete applications shall be summarily rejected.
7. Important Instructions:
- The Law Commission of India reserves the right to accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be called for further selection procedures.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending any stage of the selection process.
