Key responsibilities

• Strategic approach: Design and execute a comprehensive government affairs and outreach plan aligned to Wipro’s business priorities; create white papers in priority areas and evangelize Wipro’s narrative among government stakeholders.​
• Policy advocacy: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to draft policy proposals, position papers, and testimonies; author content on digital transformation, data, privacy, sustainability, cybersecurity, and AI for multiple regions.​
• Relationship management: Build and sustain relationships with officials across levels of government, regulators, and industry bodies in India and select international markets.​
• Regulatory compliance: Monitor and analyze relevant legislation and regulations; advise business leaders on compliance implications and operational adjustments.​
• Issue management: Identify and mitigate political and regulatory risks; lead crisis preparedness and response for policy‑linked events.​
• Stakeholder engagement: Coordinate consistent messaging, organize meetings, forums, and delegations, and host government dignitaries and industry events.​

Required profile

• Experience: At least 7+ years overall, including a minimum 5 years in advocacy/public policy and government engagement with a demonstrated track record of outcomes in IT/technology policy or adjacent sectors.​

Reporting and collaboration

Regular collaboration is expected with Legal, Compliance, Corporate Affairs, Communications, Sustainability, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, and business unit leaders to ensure policy alignment and coherent external positions.​
