• Provide legal opinions on forest/wildlife offences, seizures, confiscation proceedings, and departmental actions; vet charge sheets, affidavits, and pleadings to ensure procedural compliance and evidentiary sufficiency.​
• Guide field officers on case strategy and limitation; coordinate with prosecutors/panel counsel; monitor litigation timelines and ensure prompt responses to court orders and queries.​
• Review contracts, administrative orders, and disciplinary matters for legal risk; support training/orientation of forest staff on relevant legal procedures.​
