Ernst & Young is hiring a Senior Associate (Legal) to support the UK Quality team from Gurgaon, advising on risk, quality, and complex contracting for UK consulting and technology engagements. The role sits within EY’s GDS-GCO Enablement team and partners with senior stakeholders across Independence, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Risk Management.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact to the UK business on Quality matters; support UK Quality to advise partners and teams on risk management issues.
  • Review engagement agreements and commercial artifacts (SOWs, T&Cs, NDAs, MSAs, frameworks, subcontracts, proposals) and provide risk management advice.
  • Maintain awareness of updates to EY policies, structure, and procedures; translate these into actionable guidance for the business.
  • Create, facilitate, and deliver training to UK teams; present subject-matter content confidently to peers/seniors (virtual and in-person).
  • Liaise with specialist functions: Independence, onshore Legal, Security, Privacy, and RMS; coordinate multi-stakeholder responses on complex queries.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Law graduate with 3–5 years’ experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts (consulting/technology) and understanding of legal and risk issues; UK law exposure preferred.
  • Experience with IT contracts: SI programs, niche/agile projects, IT advisory, program/software development, and program/change management around IT programs.
  • Demonstrated senior stakeholder management; interest in risk/compliance; knowledge of GDPR and data protection/security considerations.
  • Project management experience; understanding of Independence and Conflicts; ability to collaborate in multi-vendor IT landscapes; experience drafting/negotiating IP terms.
