JSERC Mandate and Staff Consultant Role

JSERC regulates tariff determination, licensing, consumer grievances for Jharkhand discoms (JBVNL), generators (Adani, DVC). Staff Consultants (Legal) support:

• Tariff order drafting (MYT petitions).
• Petition hearings.
• Regulatory compliance (Suo-motu inquiries).
• Legal research (Electricity Act, CERC Appellate Tribunal precedents).

Vacancy Specifications

Essential Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Law from recognised university.

Experience:

• Judicial work experience, holding post not below Additional District Judge rank.
