Essential Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B.)
  • Professional Experience: 1–3 years of relevant experience in any of the following areas:
    • Labour law practice or research
    • Labour rights or workers’ rights advocacy
    • Work with marginalised and precarious communities
    • Litigation in labour-related matters
    • Legal research in labour and employment law
    • Engagement with civil society organisations or workers’ organisations
    • Trade union work
    • Legal aid work
    • Community engagement on labour issues
  • Skills: Excellent writing and editing capabilities, along with strong organisational and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will strengthen an application:

  • Master’s degree in law (LL.M.) or allied disciplines
  • Prior experience in litigation and/or Right to Information (RTI) work
  • Familiarity with labour rights research and field-based research methodologies
