Key Details

  • Position: Associate Corporate Counsel

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Strong academic credentials; a law degree is required.
  • Experience: 4–7 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 3 years in an in-house legal team preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Work Experience

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various agreements, including:
    • Software license agreements
    • IT services, cloud, and hosting contracts
    • IT infrastructure contracts
    • Intellectual property licenses
    • Online advertising/marketing agreements
    • ISDA and structured finance contracts
    • Construction and property-related documents
    • Hardware purchase/leasing
    • Staffing and IT development agreements
    • Collaboration and non-disclosure agreements
    • Bank guarantees
  • Understanding software license compliance matters, especially open-source issues and SAAS/IAAS/PAAS copyright considerations.
  • Awareness of legal and compliance issues, especially data protection as applicable to cross-border transactions.
  • Exposure to contract disputes and dispute resolution procedures is a plus.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Wipro’s senior leadership and provide legal advice.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams engaged in customer projects.
  • Conduct trainings for legal teams, and assist in preparing templates and playbooks.
