About Essay Writing Competition

VLS launched National Essay Competition on Constitutional Law on November 26, 2021, on the 72nd Constitution Day. This competition is planned to be conducted twice a year. We aspire to make this one of the leading national essay competitions on competition law in Indian legal academia.

Essays are an integral part of learning and expressing the thought process in an analytical way. Essays on legal issues enable a researcher to indulge in detailed reading on a subject matter, think through the narratives of distinguished scholars on the subject line, and sort information, various ideas to analyze and produce a critical analysis. Essay writing is one of the core skills that shape legal writing, enriches research aptitude, compels a person to think and articulate in a stipulated word limit, and evolves a thought process of a researcher.  Developing this skill enhances an ability to coherently structure the arguments, channelize information and present it in a lucid manner for the readers.
