About Us 

The Lawway with Lawyers is thrilled to announce its upcoming Article Writing Competition! We invite all aspiring writers and legal enthusiasts to participate in this exciting event. This competition aims to provide a platform for individuals to showcase their writing skills, creativity, and legal knowledge.

Participants will have the opportunity to write an engaging and informative article on a legal topic of their choice. Whether you have a passion for criminal law, intellectual property, human rights, or any other legal field, this competition allows you to explore your interests and express your thoughts.

To enter the competition, simply fill out the Google form provided.

Awards and Merit

Best Paper: INR 200 + Publication Certificate of Merit + Publication of Article on the website of the lawway with lawyers +discount on upcoming courses+ Internship Opportunity at the lawway with lawyers.

2nd Best Paper:  Internship Opportunity at the lawway with lawyers + Certificate of Merit + discount on our upcoming courses + Publication of article on website of the lawway with lawyers

Submission Deadline

Participants must send in their submissions to the submission link before 28 August 2023.

Submission Rules

  1. Only a single submission may be made from each participant. 
  2. The articles should be the original work of the authors. Any kind of plagiarism will lead to disqualification. 
  3. The articles must be annexed with plagiarism report. 
  4. Each entry must be previously unpublished work of the participant. The articles published elsewhere or selected/submitted for publication elsewhere shall be disqualified.
  5. Articles co-authored by two participants will be accepted. 
  6. The entries shall be the property of SPIL, Mumbai which reserves the right of publication of the same in any periodical, journal, newsletter, digital material or in any other manner as it may deem appropriate. 
  7. The organizing committee’s decision as regards the interpretation of the rules or any other matter related to the Competition shall be final and binding.

Submission Guidelines

  1. The name of the author should not be mentioned anywhere in the article. The name of the file should be ” Name_topic name” 
  2. The article is to have a minimum of 1500 words and a maximum of 2000 words, inclusive of footnotes. 
  3. The article should be typed in Times New Roman, Font Size 12, Line Spacing double-spaced (2.0), and the article should be justified. 
  4. The footnotes must be typed in Times New Roman, with Font Size 10, and Line Spacing 1.0. 
  5. The margins on all pages must be 1″ or 2.54 cm on all sides. 
  6. Every citation must follow the Harvard Bluebook, 20th Edition. 
  7. The submissions must be sent to the submission form 
  8. The first page of the article must specify the name of the author, theme & sub-topic, title of the article, college/ institute/ university, program enrolled & year of study, e-mail address & contact no. of the author. 
  9. The submission must be attached in ‘.doc’ or ‘.docx’ and ‘.pdf’ format.
