Brief Profile & Responsibilities

The Administrative Officer will be responsible for:

  • General supervision and guidance in all administrative, HR, legal, and establishment matters of the Centre
  • Support to the Director in all matters related to the Governing Board (constitution, meetings, annual general meetings, minutes preparation)
  • Annual Plan preparation and submission to Government/State Planning Board
  • Timely recruitment of personnel and all establishment matters (personal file maintenance, leave management)
  • Administrative coordination – supervising all administrative activities, managing correspondences
  • Statutory compliance – renewal of licenses, submission of returns, ensuring compliance to all statutory requirements
  • Faculty support – providing administrative support to faculty members and academic staff
  • Property upkeep – maintenance of building, utilities, fire safety equipment, furniture, computers/laptops, and Centre’s vehicles
  • Legal matters – attending to legal matters related to the Centre
  • Annual Report – timely preparation of Centre’s Annual Report
  • Document custody – custodian of documents, licenses, registers, receipts, files related to administrative and establishment matters
  • Other duties – any activities as entrusted by Dean (Administration)/Director
  • Legal matters responsibility: Administrative Officer handles legal matters related to the Centre
