About the Organizer

Every existential battle of human kind is followed by revolutions and revelations, the year 2020 marked a battle that was fought without arms and ammunitions but with lockdown and isolation. During this battle of survival, it was the tool of technology that became the foundation of revolution, when the battle sought to isolate us from the world, technology revealed itself to be the cornerstone of a new age human interaction. Even as we recover from the strain of this global pandemic, it is apparent that further ahead the world will be seen as pre-covid and post-covid.

Knowledge, Education & Employment, are the key ingredients that make man a “social” animal, they sustain the social, economical and political ecosystem around us. The field of education has been faced with the daunting task of sustaining itself during the past year, technology proved itself to be an elixir during this adversity. The world witnessed evolution of how the future generations will see education.

As David Warlick rightly said “We need technology in every classroom and in every student’s and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of our time, and is the lens through which we experience much of our world”

It is with this foresight and vision that the concept of LedX has been brought into existence, with an experience of more than two decades in legal education, the founding members of this legal education venture witnessed an opportunity in the garb of an adversity, providing the pathway to pave a stronger interface between the legal education and the legal profession by facilitating education by experts of the legal fraternity.

This platform is an output of research and consultation conducted by Think-Tanks and pioneers of legal education aiming to impart legal education in every nook and corner of the country, regardless of geography, Institutional affiliations or professional obligations; an opportunity to become certified experts in the discipline of law, trained by experts of the legal fraternity and enhancing your educational and professional qualifications.

About the Competition

2nd Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Constituent Assembly Debate 2022 seeks to instill the spirit of constitutionalism as a guiding principle for the future generations of the legal fraternity. This competition will hone the skills of the future generation of lawyers and lawmakers who will shape the legal landscape of the country.

The competition will enhance the knowledge and appreciation of constitutional principles, understanding of the framework of the constitution, and acquaint the law students with the intentions of the constitutional makers and the jurisprudential principles behind the constitutional provisions. This academic endeavor is an attempt to revisit, rethink and rebuild the Constitution of India based on the experience of the past 60 years of Indian democracy.

Format of the Competition

Each team will comprise of 2 members
Every session of the debate will comprise of 6 teams and 1 chairman
Every team will be representing one of the six representations of this Constituent Assembly

Registration Details

The following steps must be adhered to by the registering participants to successfully register themselves for the Competition.

The registration form is provided on our official website: www.ledx.law
The registration shall be considered complete only when the ‘Registration Fee’ has been paid successfully and the registration form is duly filled with all the credentials.
The participants will receive an official approval mail from the organizing committee within 48 hours of their registration.
The registration fee for the competition is Rs 400 per team

Registration Starts: 7th November 2022
Last Date of Registration: 22nd November 2022
Allocation of Representative Category: 23rd November 2022
Preliminary and Quarter Finals: 26th November 2022
Semi-Finals and Finals: 27th November 2022

Runners Up Rs 3100/- + Certification + LedX Subscription Benefits.
2nd Runner Up Rs 2100/- + Certification + LedX Subscription Benefits.
Best Speaker Rs 1100/- + Certification + LedX Subscription Benefits.

General Instructions

The top 24, 12, and 6 teams with the highest score after the declaration of results of preceding rounds shall proceed to the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals, respectively.
The match-up of the 6 teams in each Round shall be determined based on the electronically generated draw of lots.
In case of a tie-in score calculated, the team with the higher Creative Argument’ score shall proceed to the next round.
All the teams shall observe strict adherence to the code of conduct.
