Core responsibilities
- Draft, review, and advise on software licenses; SaaS/PaaS/Cloud agreements; MSAs/LOIs/MOUs; alliance and collaboration agreements; SOWs; and IP clauses in commercial documents.
- Support technology transfer and commercial IP transactions; ensure enforceability, risk mitigation, and compliance with open-source and export control considerations.
- Provide IP advisory across patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets; support brand protection, domain disputes, and pre-litigation strategy.
- Preferably contribute to patent drafting, prosecution, and patent analytics; partner with external counsel on specialized matters and cross-border filings.
Required profile
- Education: LL.B./LL.M. plus B.Tech/B.E. in CS/IT/ECE/E&TC/Instrumentation & Control from recognized institutions, combining legal acumen with technical literacy crucial for software/telecom deals.
- Experience: 3–6 years in IP, preferably in-house at a technology company; contract management experience in tech is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Familiarity with GenAI, IoT, telecom; strong organizational skills, prioritization, and multi-matter management; stakeholder collaboration and clear written/oral communication in English.
