About National Investigation Agency
The National Investigation Agency is a specialized counter-terrorism law enforcement agency in India. The agency is empowered to deal with the investigation of terror-related crimes across states without special permission from the states under a written proclamation from the Ministry of Home Affairs. It is a central agency to investigate and prosecute offences: affecting the sovereignty, security, and integrity of India, the security of the State, and friendly relations with foreign States. against atomic and nuclear facilities. smuggling in High-Quality Counterfeit Indian Currency.
About the Opportunity
National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs is inviting applications from eligible candidates to apply for the post of Public Prosecutor.

Roles and Responsibilities
To deal/look after all legal matters of the National Investigation Agency which will include conducting of cases in courts, legal vetting of various documents, giving legal opinions, drafting and preparation of legal correspondence, handling appeals and revisions etc.
Eligibility Criteria
A. EDUCATIONAL:-
- Degree in Law of a recognized University.
- Basic knowledge of word processing on computer and internet.
Note-I Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
B. EXPERIENCE:- 07 years practice as an Advocate in conducting criminal cases or 07 years experience of State Judicial Service or Legal Department of State or Central Government.
Note-II The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection, the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved for them.
C. AGE:- Not exceeding 35 years for General and EWS Category candidates as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 40 years for Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes candidates and not exceeding 38 years for Other Backward Classes candidates as on normal closing date in respect of the vacancies reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central /U.T. Government Servant up to Five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time. Pay Scale
Revised Pay as per 7th CPC Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the Pay Matrix. Pre-revised Pay Band -3 (Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-) (Total emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56,100/- plus DA as applicable per month approximately).
