About National Judicial Reforms Council
The National Judicial Reforms Council is a Non-Governmental Organisation under the aegis of the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. WICCI is a premier National Business Chamber for Women. The council aims to promote an effective judicial mechanism across India. The justice system is the principal instrumentality in satisfying the undertakings in construction. Speedy justice is a prerequisite for maintaining the rule of law and delivering good governance. The council not only focuses on searching and understanding the lacunas in the judicial system but also on bridging the gap to ensure the speedy delivery of justice.
About the Event
National Law Day — also known as Samvidhan Divas — is celebrated in India on November 26 every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India.
Recently, In a 3-2 majority, the Supreme Court upheld the 103rd Constitutional Amendment providing EWS reservation. On this occasion of Law day, National Judicial Reforms Council (NJRC), WICCI has come up with a webinar regarding the judgment.
The topic of the webinar is- ‘𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙳𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙴𝚆𝚂 𝙹𝚄𝙳𝙶𝙼𝙴𝙽𝚃: 𝙲𝙾𝙽𝚂𝚃𝙸𝚃𝚄𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽 𝙰𝚂 𝙰 𝚂𝚆𝙾𝚁𝙳 𝙾𝚁 𝚂𝙷𝙸𝙴𝙻𝙳’.
About the Speaker
Dr. Avnish Bhatt is an illustrious academician in Law with experience in teaching various legal subjects. He has done commendable research in the areas of Constitutional Law, Prisoners’ related laws, Sports law, etc. He is presently associated with Xavier Law School, as an Assistant professor. He was an ardent mooter and has also been invited as a judge in many National and International Moot Court Competitions, including the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition.
