Eligibility

Specialist Officer – Manager (Law): BL/ML or other equivalent degree, with 5 years of Bar experience or at least 5 years of work experience as an officer in the legal department of a Bank/Financial Institution; age not more than 40 years as on 31 October 2026. Specialist Officer – Assistant Manager (Law): BL/ML or other equivalent degree, with at least 3 years of work experience as an officer in the legal department of a Bank/Financial Institution; age not more than 35 years as on 31 October 2026. For both posts, no vigilance case or adverse observation from RBI/Statutory Authority shall be pending against the candidate identified for appointment. Remuneration is as applicable to Manager and Assistant Manager respectively. The advertisement does not state the number of vacancies or a pay amount.

Role and Importance

The Specialist Officer – Law posts handle the Bank’s legal work, including follow-up of court and DRT cases, liaison with panel advocates, assistance to the authorised officer in SARFAESI Act proceedings, verification of draft plaints and formats, scrutiny and vetting of contracts, follow-up of criminal cases, preparation of legal notices and documents, and legal assistance in matters relating to bank frauds.
