The Keynote Speaker of the webinar will be Advocate Shobha Gupta.
Shobha Gupta is a seasoned legal professional with 25 years of practice in the Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur Bench, and 23 years in the Supreme Court. Specializing in diverse legal domains such as PILs, Constitutional cases, civil disputes, criminal matters, and more, she has represented notable entities like the Rajasthan State Electricity Board and National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. With over 16 years as the Standing Counsel of the National Human Rights Commission, she has also served as Panel Lawyer for various government organizations.
Advocate Shobha Gupta is the founder of “FLAG- Free Legal Aid Group,” providing free legal aid to juveniles, and “We the Women of India” (WWI), focusing on women’s rights. Notably, she recently secured a landmark victory in the Bilkis Bano case, challenging the remission granted to her convict. Recognizing her exemplary legal contributions, she was conferred with the prestigious title of Senior Advocate by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India on January 19, 2024, ranking No. 2 among the 53 lawyers honored. Shobha Gupta’s extensive legal expertise, commitment to human rights, and advocacy for women’s rights mark her as a distinguished legal practitioner.
