Our website Legal Vidhiya, i.e., legalvidhiya.com intends to provide legal awareness by providing general content on laws, legal systems, legal news, and updates. The idea behind Legal Vidhiya was to provide an in-depth and brief analysis of the law field to students and any legal enthusiast.

About The Competition

Legal Vidhiya is organizing its 1st National Article Writing Competition. Legal Vidhiya is a platform that aims to provide knowledge of the law to every law enthusiast. In order to promote the creativity of young students, and to create awareness amongst the youth, Legal Vidhiya is organizing an Article Writing Competition on socio-legal issues which surrounds the nation.

Eligibility

The student pursuing any undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline, from a recognized University/ College in India.

Faculty, professor, scholars, advocate, etc are eligible to participate (but they will be not entitled to price money as it would be not justified to students.) They will be eligible for a publication certificate and certificate of excellence.
Theme

Any Social-legal Issue or any legal issue.

For Example:-

  • Women fighting to enter temples and mosques
  • Juvenile criminals above 16 years of age should be treated as adults
  • India’s income inequality
  • The menace of Eve-teasing
  • Legalizing same-sex marriage in India

Registration Procedure

  • There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.

Submission Guidelines

  • The Article must be in English and the submission shall be in PDF format only.
  • The article Shall be submitted to Legalvidhiya@gmail.com or contact@legalvidiya.com Subject line should be “ Submission for 1st national Article competition In the body of the mail –
    • Name
    • University and Profession.
    • Screenshot of the registration
    • Article in Attachment along with plagiarism report.
  • Co-authorship is allowed however is subject to a maximum of two authors. Submission of the co-authored article is to be done once only by either of the authors.
  • The word limit of the article should be 2000-5000 words, excluding footnotes.
  • The submission should be original, unpublished, and not under review with any similar platform. The submissions can have 15% plagiarism. A plagiarism report should be submitted along with the submission.

Formatting Criteria

  • Main Body: Font- Times New Roman (English), Font Size- 12, Line Spacing- 1.5, and Alignment- Justified.
  • Footnotes: Font- Times New Roman (English), Font Size- 10, Line Spacing- 1.5, and Alignment- Justified. Submission Procedure
  • Participants are required to fill out the Google Form with the subject title ‘Topic of Article Submission’. And along with the screenshot send it to Legalvidhiya@gmail.com or contact@legalvidiya.com

Rewards

For Student

  • The top 3 winners among students shall be awarded cash price along with a publication certificate.
  • 1st will be awarded a cash price of 500rs.
  • 2nd will be awarded a cash price of 251rs.
  • 3rd will be awarded a cash price of 101rs.

For Faculty, professors, scholars, advocates, etc

  • The best articles from every topic will be published on Legal Vidhya and a publication certificate will be provided to the authors.
  • E-certificates of participation will be awarded to all participants who submit a valid submission in accordance with the Submission Guidelines outlined above.
  • In order to discuss the topic of submission in detail Authors can be requested to be guest lecturers at legal Vidhya. (Note: The result of judges shall be final)
