About RMLNLU
Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University was established in 2005 by the State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh. It came into existence in 2006, intending to encourage and disseminate legal knowledge.
About The Competition
The second edition of RMLNLU – Kochhar & Co. Arbitration Moot Court Competition is being organised in association with Kochhar & Co. as the Title Sponsor. We have on board Eastern Book Company as our Knowledge Partner and SCC Online as our Media Partner.
With the use of arbitration growing exponentially over the years, Arbitration laws have witnessed constant development in their interpretation and application across the globe. The purpose of this Competition is to expose law students to the concept of arbitration and to provide an enriching experience through simulated court proceedings.
Eligibility Criteria
The Competition is open to students pursuing three or five-year courses of the LL.B. degree or its equivalent in the academic year 2023-2024 from any recognized law school/college/University in India/abroad.
An institution, including any recognized law school/college/university, shall be entitled to send only 1 (one) team to the Competition.
The participating team shall comprise a minimum of two and a maximum of three members. In a team of two members, both the members shall be designated as Speakers. In a team of three members, two members shall be designated as Speakers and the third member shall be designated as a Researcher. No additional member or team coach is allowed to accompany the team.
How To Register?
- The Institutions should provisionally register themselves by filling out the following google form latest by January 1, 2024 (23:59 hrs IST). https://forms.gle/dtzdv4DbT5tEENdk6
- The institutions must complete their registration by sending an e-mail to rmlmootcourt@gmail.com, latest by January 10, 2024 (23:59 hrs IST). The e-mail should include a scanned copy of the duly filled registration form.
Registration Fee
- The Registration Fee of the Competition is INR 6,500. Teams must make the payment of such amount through the “State Bank Collect” multi-modal payment portal. [For Details, see Annexure of the Official Brochure]
- Only the teams who have cleared the memorial knockout round (if any) shall be required to pay the registration fee.
Important Dates
- Proposition Release – 23rd December, 2023.
- Last Date for Clarifications – 6th January, 2024.
- Release of Clarifications – 15th January, 2024.
- Memorial Submission – 28th January, 2024.
- Inauguration – 23rd February, 2024.
- Oral Rounds- 24th – 25th February, 2024.
