The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences (ABVIMS) & Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, has invited eligible candidates to appear in a walk-in interview for engagement of 2 posts of Consultant (Legal) purely on contract basis. Eligibility
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognised University or Institution, with a minimum of three years’ experience in the relevant field. Experience shall be counted after obtaining the essential qualification (LL.B.). The crucial date for determining eligibility, including qualification and experience, shall be the date of the walk-in interview. The selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs. 60,000 per month, with no increment, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance or any other allowance admissible during the engagement.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates must appear for the walk-in interview on 16 November 2026 at 11:00 AM in Room No. 06, Old Building, Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi, bringing the duly filled-in application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) along with one recent passport-size photograph and the following documents in original, along with one set of self-attested photocopies: proof of date of birth (Matriculation/Class X certificate); LL.B. degree and mark sheets of all years/semesters; certificate of enrolment with the Bar Council (if applicable); experience certificate(s) clearly indicating the period and nature of work; identity proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID or Passport); and a No Objection Certificate from the present employer, in the case of candidates presently employed. Candidates without original documents will not be allowed to appear in the interview, and no candidate shall be registered after the closing of the registration time. No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in the interview. If the number of candidates is large, the Hospital reserves the right to shortlist candidates on the basis of qualification or experience, or to conduct a written test or screening before the interview.
Role and Importance
The Consultant (Legal) will handle and monitor court cases before the Supreme Court, High Courts, Central Administrative Tribunal, Consumer Commissions and other courts and tribunals pertaining to the Institute; draft and vet para-wise comments, counter affidavits, written statements, replies, appeals and other legal documents; coordinate with Government Counsel, Central Government Standing Counsel and Panel Advocates, the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and the Department of Legal Affairs; render legal opinions on administrative, service, contractual, procurement, medico-legal and RTI matters referred by the Hospital administration; and maintain and update registers and databases of court cases, including on LIMBS or any other portal prescribed by the Government.
