Subject Matter of Publication

Sport is a vital part of every culture, society, and country. Historical evidence suggests that traces of sports can be found circa 4000 BC in Ethiopia.

The history of the rules, regulations, and laws of sports, dates back to 14th Century, which was introduced by the Normandie tribes.

In 1743, Jack Broughton wrote the formal rules and regulations, at Prize Ring Tottenham Court.

In some countries, the laws and regulations on sports are still under deliberation. The United Nations, through its resolution 58/5 adopted by its General Assembly in 2003, has recognized sport as a means to promote education, health, development, and peace.

Concerning this, many countries need to come a long way as there is no comprehensive law dealing with sports-related matters in such countries. The law ought to establish and advance guidelines of morals and the spirit of sportsmanship among contenders and the bodies associated with a decision–making.

So, the need for a moral answer for legal development through a UN framework will be the main and core thought behind the vision of this call for this edited book. This book boasts a new viewpoint, perspective, and a comprehensive policy-based mechanism that is the need of great importance of the hour. Hope this will upgrade the morale of the professionals & athletics by improving the legally – binding elements among them and the regulatory bodies.
