Young Professionals typically assist Commissioners/Senior Departmental Representatives (DRs) at the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) by analyzing case paper books, researching precedents, identifying departmental-favorable judgments, and drafting briefing notes/written submissions on tax disputes.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications
- Indian nationals with Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Law (LLB/LLM) or Chartered Accountancy (CA) from recognized national/international institutions.
- Minimum 50% marks in 3-year LLB, 5-year integrated LLB, PG Law program, or CA qualification.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- CAs with articleship in taxation; law graduates/postgrads with research/projects in taxation.
- Proficiency in ICT (Information & Communication Technology), strong communication, and interpersonal skills.
Age Limit
- Maximum 35 years (relaxation as per government norms).
Remuneration and Tenure
- Fixed monthly pay: ₹65,000 (consolidated, no additional allowances).
- Typical tenure: 1-2 years (renewable based on performance), whole-time engagement without private practice rights.
