About OPTCL

Odisha Power Generation Corporation Limited is the only thermal power generating company owned by the Government of Odisha. It was incorporated under the Companies Act 1956 on 14 November 1984. OPGC started as a solely owned Government Company of the state of Odisha.

About the Opportunity

OPTCL intends to recruit young and energetic professionals to be inducted as Management Trainees in HRD, Finance, Law and Telecom disciplines and junior Management Trainees in Finance and Telecom disciplines at various offices of OPTCL across the State.

Eligibility Criteria

Degree in Law from a recognized Institution.

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • She / He must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently and must have:
    • Passed Middle School Examination with Odia as a language subject; or
    • Passed Matriculation or equivalent Examination with Odia as a medium of examination in the non-language subject; or
    • Passed in Odia as a language subject in the final examination of class VII from a school or Educational institution recognized by the Government of Odisha or the Central Government; or
    • Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School and Mass Education Department/Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
  • A candidate who has more than one spouse living will not be eligible for appointment unless the State Government has exempted his / her case from operation of this limitation for any good and sufficient reasons.
  • The candidate must have a good character.
