Eligibility: Essential qualifications and experience

Principal Private Secretary (PPS)

Candidates must be officers on regular basis holding analogous posts or meeting specified service-length criteria in defined pay scales, along with a graduate degree and computer proficiency.

  • Deputation source: Central/State Govt officers; Supreme Court/High Court; Central Universities; Recognized Research Institutions; Public Sector Undertakings.
  • Experience pathways (any one):
    • Holding an analogous post on a regular basis; or
    • 5 years’ regular service as Private Secretary in pay scale Rs. 9300–34800 (PB-3) with Grade Pay Rs. 5400; or
    • 6 years’ regular service as Private Secretary in pay scale Rs. 9300–34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4800.
  • Education: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Skill requirement: Proficiency in working on computer, to be determined through an internal test conducted by NCPCR.

Assistant Director

This role targets research/administrative officers with a postgraduate background in social sciences, law, or public administration, and documented field experience in research roles.

  • Deputation source: Central/State Govt; Central Universities; Recognized Research Institutions; Public Sector Undertakings; Central Autonomous Bodies.
  • Experience pathways (any one):
    • Holding an analogous post on a regular basis; or
    • 2 years’ regular service as Senior Research Assistant in pay scale Rs. 9300–34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4800; or
    • 3 years’ regular service as Research Assistant or Senior Research Investigator in pay scale Rs. 9300–34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4600; or
    • 8 years’ regular service as Research Investigator in pay scale Rs. 9300–34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200.
  • Education: Postgraduate degree from a recognized university in social work, psychology, child development, sociology, law, political science, or public administration.
  • Skill requirement: Proficiency in computer.

Hindi Translator

The post requires strong bilingual competence (Hindi–English) at the master’s level and substantial experience in translation roles within government/autonomous bodies.

  • Deputation source: Central/State Govt; Central Universities; Recognized Research Institutions; Autonomous Bodies; Public Sector Undertakings.
  • Experience pathways (any one):
    • Holding an analogous post on a regular basis; or
    • 5 years’ regular service as Junior Hindi Translator in pay scale Rs. 9300–34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200.
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Hindi/English, with English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as the medium of examination at degree level.
  • Skill requirement: Translation proficiency will be tested via an internal skill test conducted by NCPCR.
