The Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (DRAT), Delhi – Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services – invites applications for 1 Law Researcher position on contract basis (Circular dated 06 April 2026). DRAT Delhi Mandate & Researcher Role

DRAT Delhi hears statutory appeals from Debts Recovery Tribunals (DRTs) under RDDBFI Act 1993 for recoveries exceeding ₹20 lakhs, disposing 1,200+ cases yearly involving PSBs, NBFCs, ARC. Law Researchers assist Presiding Officer through:

• Legal research (IBC, SARFAESI precedents).
• Case analysis/summaries.
• Draft orders/judgments.
• Digital database research (Manupatra, SCC Online).

Vacancy Details

Essential Qualifications

Academic:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (3-year course after graduation OR 5-year integrated post-10+2) OR Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.).
• Minimum 55% marks in aggregate from University/College/Institution recognised by Bar Council of India for enrolment as Advocate.

Technical:

• Sound knowledge of computer applications.
• Proficiency in information retrieval from search engines/processes.
