About the NLIU Cell for Law and Technology (NLIU-CLT):
National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal is a premier legal institution established in the year 1997. The NLIU Cell for Law and Technology (NLIU-CLT) was constituted at NLIU, Bhopal in the year 2019. It aims to create and promote an environment of debate and discussion on issues relating to Technology Law. The Cell has been continuously taking efforts to engage in a variety of activities to keep up with its vision to be ahead of the curve when it comes to the intricate interactions between technology and legal policy.
About Techtonic 2023
The NLIU-CLT Law and Technology Fair: ‘Techtonic’ is a major flagship event annually organized by the NLIU Cell for Law and Technology. It provides a chance for aspiring lawyers to explore their talent as policymakers as well as gain insight into various technology law-related issues, plans and solutions. ‘Techtonic 2023’, which is the second edition of NLIU-CLT’s flagship event, is scheduled to be held from 24th – 26th February 2023. The two major highlights of this event are the NLIU-Ikigai Policy Case Competition and the NLIU-MeitY Round Table Conference. As part of the Event, some online competitions are also being organised, such as – Touch Their Hearts, TechTask, Scribbling Stratagem and TechKnow Quiz.
About the Online Competitions
Students may participate in one or more than one of the total four Online Competitions being organised as part of Techtonic 2023:
1. TechTask
‘TechTask’ is an agreement drafting competition set in the future. The theme for the same is ‘Rent Agreement: Interaction with the Technologies of the Future’. Participants shall be required to draft an agreement between the landlord and the tenants in the year 2030 as per The Model Tenancy Act, 2021.

2. Touch Their Hearts
Touch Their Hearts is an online policy case competition. Participants shall be required to draft a policy proposal which benefits the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society. The theme of the Competition is ‘Access to Justice in Digital India’.

3. Scribbling Stratagem
Scribbling Stratagem is an online Policy Doodling Competition. Participants shall be required to find a policy solution to a problem and present the same in the form of a doodle art. The theme for the Competition is ‘Right to Privacy versus the New Social Media Ethics Code’.

4. TechKnow Quiz

Perks and Benefits
- The winning team of each competition shall be awarded a research internship opportunity under professors, associate professors or assistant professors, publication of their submission on NLIU-CLT’s Blog for Law and Technology and a Certificate of Merit.
- The runners-up team of each competition shall be given an opportunity to publish their submission on NLIU-CLT’s Blog for Law and Technology and a Certificate of Merit.
- The second runners-up team of each competition shall be awarded a Certificate of Merit.
- All participants shall be awarded a Certificate of Participation.
Important Dates
- Registration Opens: 1 January 2023
- Registration Closes: 31 January 2023
- Declaration of Result: 26 February 2023
